A Prayer for the Lord’s Day, November 2

“ALMIGHTY and most merciful God, of thy bountiful goodness keep us, we beseech thee, from all things that may hurt us; that we, being ready both in body and soul, may cheerfully accomplish those things which thou commandest; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.”

– 1928 Book of Common Prayer

This is the Feast of All Saints ( on Nov. 1, actually) and I am reminded of all those SAINTS still with us – like – Pastor Wingard, and looking around I gain a sense of fading away into another state of being, awaiting upon the Lord. Utter one little petition for the increase of well being for my little grandchild, Eleanor Lynn in Madison. and her mama, Virginia Lynn. Thanks for being there. sterling sorrell
